That distinction can help when a retailer needs a stone for a client appointment, bespoke design or a planned manufacturing job.

Depending on the account and the stone, approved retailers can request a hold or discuss a diamond memo allocation. Memo means goods are temporarily entrusted to a business under agreed written conditions; it is not automatic for every listing.

Once availability is confirmed, the order and invoice proceed through the trade workflow. Certificate information, order history and relevant communications remain attached to the transaction.
